Tour Overview
This trip takes you around to experience Rwanda’s wildlife safaris and the boat cruise experiences of Akagera National Park. You will take your adventures on the canopy walk with great views of the forest and chimpanzee tracking, in Nyungwe Forest National Park on this 4 days tour. This is a private tour. You will be using your private 4×4 safari Jeep.
ITINERARY
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kigali followed by a scenic drive to Akagera National Park. After checking into your lodge and enjoying lunch, head out for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants along the shoreline, and an incredible variety of birdlife before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Meal Plan :
Rise early for an exciting game drive through Akagera's rolling savannah. Search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, rhinos, and, if lucky, the elusive leopard.
After the safari, depart for Nyungwe National Park, enjoying beautiful scenery, traditional villages, and tea plantations along the journey before arriving at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, meet your ranger guide for a briefing before entering Nyungwe Forest in search of wild chimpanzees. Listen for their calls as you hike through one of Africa's oldest rainforests. Along the way, you may also encounter other primates, colorful birds, and unique forest plants.
Later, enjoy the famous Canopy Walk, suspended high above the forest floor, offering spectacular panoramic views of the rainforest canopy.
Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning your drive back to Kigali. Depending on your departure time, you may visit local markets or enjoy a brief city tour before being transferred to Kigali International Airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Rwanda safari.
